I am Teacher of Innovation at Kelvinside Academy, a STEM educator and creator of STEM with Mr N, through which I have created hundreds of freely available STEM education videos and resources for teachers, children and families. Having spent most of my career as a primary classroom teacher, I am passionate about making STEM accessible and engaging, particularly through low-cost practical activities, STEM careers and collaboration with schools, industry and STEM organisations in the UK and internationally.
Alongside my teaching, I have represented the UK at Science on Stage Europe, delivered STEM professional learning internationally and written for the Association for Science Education's
Primary Science journal.
My voluntary work in STEM education has been recognised through awards from organisations including the Royal Society, Royal Society of Chemistry and Scientix, as well as the Prime Minister's Points of Light Award.
