Helen is a Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Northampton where she is Curriculum Lead for the science and Design and Technology modules. She joined the University of Northampton after teaching for 16 years in primary education, where she was also an Assistant Head and Teacher Governor of a large primary school in Buckinghamshire. Her research activities have recently included:
- Embedding LOTC and Forest Schools into teaching and learning for primary and HE education.
- Supporting neurodiverse learners at university.
- Enhancing the teaching of LGBTQ+ in primary schools.
- Using Digital Learning Across Boundaries (DLAB) for transformative learning.
