The way we farm animals impacts on our food supply, our greenhouse gas emissions, our land-use, and our general impact on the environment and animal welfare. Children are often passionate about animals and the environment and these topics can stimulate serious discussion. Our resources, including films and speaker service, are designed to do this. These include activities to provoke discussion in small groups, especially for students who are reticent in whole group discussion.
Meanwhile, your students will learn about methods of animal farming, intensive and extensive, together with their advantages and disadvantages.
We are also exhibiting resources to enrich other science topics such as selective breeding and its ethical implications.
